A great opportunity for players and parents to learn, earn, and give back!

Leander FC families: this Saturday, anyone interested in becoming a certified soccer referee will have the opportunity to take the referee course.

The course is open to anyone who is at least 13 years old on the day of registration , and we would love to see Leander FC players participate!

For young players, refereeing offers more than a chance to earn money. It is an opportunity to build responsibility, confidence, and leadership while experiencing the game from a completely different perspective. Learning the Laws of the Game and understanding how referees make decisions can also help players become smarter, more thoughtful competitors on the field.

Parents are invited, too. Leander FC is always looking for more adult referees, and taking the course may even help all of us appreciate the decisions being made on the field—and maybe yell at the refs a little less from the sidelines.

Whether you are a player looking for a first job, a parent interested in supporting local soccer, or simply someone who wants to deepen your understanding of the game, this is a great opportunity to learn, earn extra money, and give back to the soccer community.

2026 Summer Camp 2

Join Us for a Half-Day Soccer Camp! A half day of soccer fun with friends and great professional trainers at the Serna Athletic Field in Robin Bledsoe Park (601 S. Bagdad Rd, Leander, TX)!

Open to players ages 5–15 , this camp welcomes all skill levels —from beginners to seasoned young athletes.

Your registration fee includes a camp t-shirt and expert coaching in a supportive, active environment.

Campers should come dressed for play and bring water and snacks for break times.

Additional details will be shared as the camp date approaches—we can’t wait to see you on the field!

REGISTRATION. Coach and teammate requests will only be accepted until July 1st . Be sure to register early to guarantee your placement! Players must be registered in the correct age group to be placed on that team. Coach or age requests cannot override registration.

AGE GROUPS HAVE CHANGED! CLICK HERE to view the 2026-27 Age Group Chart. For the 2026 - 2027 Season, our league will be using the August 1 - July 31 formation cycle.

SEASON. League Play begins September 12th, 2026.

PRACTICES

All practices take place at Serna Athletic Fields (Robin Bledsoe Park). For field address and details, click here .
Each recreational team will have one 60 minute practice per week. U13 and older teams may be granted 90 minutes if field space is available.
Days: Monday–Thursday , based on coach selection/availability
Practices are tentative to begin the week of August 17th , subject to change based on field or coach availability.

GAMES

U6, U8 and U10 - In House

All games are at Serna Athletic Fields (Robin Bledsoe Park).
Friday nights, Saturdays or Sundays.
Play against other Leander FC teams.
8 games per season.

U11 and older - CAYSA DIII League

8 games per season
half home and half away
Home games will be at Serna Athletic Fields (Robin Bledsoe Park).
Away games will be scheduled by the opposing team. Travel to away games will be required, typically within the Austin area (ex. Pflugerville, Round Rock, Bastrop, North Austin, Elgin)

Girls Tryout Update

Girls tryouts has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 26th. Click here for more details.

Due to weather cancellations on Tuesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 21, all girls tryouts have been rescheduled.

The new tryout date is Tuesday, May 26 , and will serve as the combined session for all girls .

Tryout Times:

6:00–7:00 PM: U11–U12
7:00–8:00 PM: U13–U19

If your player previously attended and received a number, please have her wear her assigned number, a white shirt, and come ready to play.

OPEN TRYOUTS: Current Leander FC Select Players and players from other clubs

Boys = Monday, May 18th and Wednesday, May 20th

Girls = Tuesday, May 19th and Thursday, May 21st

Second day of tryouts will be by invitation only

BOYS

5:30-7 pm = U11 and U12

6:30-8 pm = U13 and U14

7:30-9 pm = U15 through U19

GIRLS

5:30-7 pm = U11 and U12

6:30-8 pm = U13 through U19

Players should arrive 30 minutes early for check-in and come prepared with a fully inflated soccer ball, water, and a white shirt for the session. We strongly recommend downloading the PlayMetrics app, as it will be the primary source for updates and communication during tryouts and throughout the season.
